Former campaign strategist of Leni: Andy knows the law and he should take a leave or resign
Malou Tiquia, a political expert and a former campaign strategist of Leni Robredo, wondered why Bautista arrived at the decision of selecting Luzon Development Bank as his depository bank.

Tiquia said that Bautista is not an ordinary lawyer, and choosing LDB is unclear. He became the head of the PCGG and the COMELEC, and was a candidate to be a Chief Justice. Tiquia further stated how brilliant Bautista was, enumerating the schools he attended and the awards he received.

Tiquia added, “He knows the law and he should take a leave or resign.”

Bautista is no ordinary lawyer. But when he considered LDB as the best bank for his monies, one wonders, what happened? He is no ordinary lawyer to prepare his SALN from PCCG to COMELEC as such.

He earned his Bachelor of Science in Legal management degree from Ateneo de Manila University in 1986, a Bachelor of Laws (Class Valedictorian) from Ateneo Law School in 1990, and a Master of Laws from Harvard Law School in 1993.

He did clerkship for Supreme Court CJ Marcelo Fernan from 89-92.

He was former Dean of the Institute of Law, FEU and was once nominated to be Chief Justice of the Supreme Court.

He knows the law and he should take a leave or resign.

Andy is a friend whom I met in 1998 and was my seat mate in Pagbabago20.
